Queue Two & Pressing On

Likes, Highlights & Spotlights of April - June #gbemsmonthlyunwrapped

Welcome to Quarter 3! So I haven’t done a monthly unwrapped since February so I decided to merge April to June and just act like March (where I was figuring out my life in Lagos) sped by. Here Q2 unwrapped ::

My new read was From Storeroom to Boardroom by Babs Omotowa. From teaching in Ilorin to President of NLNG is a story only God’s providence can write.

skincare finds, got the Caudalie instant detox mask because the pores on my face were concerning tbh I should probably get a facial but while I postpone that I found something simple and effective which I like.

my workspace, the logitech pebble mouse and keyboard was reigning like 4 years ago. Youtube definitely made me buy it and it hasn’t given me any issues till date. It’s portable and compact. Now if you have large fingers/hand, you probably won’t like it but this is my workspace jam.

teas of the month, Raspberry Hibiscus by Good & Gather again - I like what I like. Strawberry & Raspberry by Twinings. Teapigs Lemon & Ginger. Teapigs Chai. I love that you can see the herbs, dried fruit and spices in teapigs teas.

I was watching Grey’s Anatomy up until Yang left and still following ISWIS and MASOYINBO

art-design spotlight is from the J.Randle Yoruba Center in Onikan — read previous blog post

fashion highlight is a black woven detail mule I got from Tamaris. I’ve been trying to find a good black loafer for work so when I saw this it plus the details it was a no brainer. I was going to mention a watercolor-artful-ruffle skirt I got from ZARA but I can’t find it online :(

personal highlight is being consistent with Paintmilk and showing up for myself, my clients and the business. Paintmilk Patterns launched it’s first product in April which I was so proud of — follow our journey on Instagram.

You can see & add my #songsonrepeat in this specially curated playlist on Spotify below.

I’m looking forward to booking more clients, designing and releasing more silk scarves and launching our patterns collection for licensing.

Till next time, with love,

gbems xx
